About

Lionheart Chorus is a bold, community-driven pop-up singing project for men. It has been created for those who may never have sung in public before, as well as for those keen to rediscover the joy of harmony, camaraderie, and purposeful challenge. It requires no long term commitment to a singing group although, if some singers want to continue, that option may be possible.

What It’s All About

It is a six-week musical journey. Participants will learn a small set of uplifting, four-part a cappella songs, including some festive favourites, culminating in a live performance in December.

The chorus also has a clear mission: to raise money for the British Heart Foundation, supporting life-saving research into heart disease — the UK’s leading cause of death among men, accounting for approximately 38,000 male deaths each year.

Why It Matters

Lionheart Chorus is about more than music. It offers a short-term but deeply rewarding challenge — one that brings men together, builds confidence, and fosters new friendships while doing something meaningful for others.

Singers will be part of something memorable: working together, learning together, and performing together — all in support of a vital cause.

Who’s Behind It

Lionheart Chorus is organised by Grand Central Chorus, one of the UK’s leading male a cappella choruses, performing in the barbershop style. With a reputation for high-quality singing and a welcoming approach, they provide the musical direction and encouragement that make this project accessible, rewarding, and enjoyable.
