GREAT NEWS - LIONHEART CHORUS IS BACK FOR 2026!
The 2025 Lionheart Chorus experience was a great success, with over 50 singers on the risers for the final show and just under £8,000 raised for the British Heart Foundation. Following such a positive response, Lionheart Chorus will return in 2026, in October and November.
Step up, Sing out, Save lives
This is your chance to be part of something bold, brilliant, and just a little bit bonkers.
The Lionheart Chorus is a six-week men’s singing experience. Whether you’ve never sung outside the shower or you’re ready to dust off old skills, this is your invitation to step out of your comfort zone, sing in wonderful a cappella harmony, and raise money for the British Heart Foundation.
Starting in October, you’ll join a group of like-minded men from the East Midlands to learn a few songs, grow in confidence, and sing unaccompanied in front of family and friends. All in just six weeks. It’s fast, fun, and you won’t be doing it alone. In 2025 we attracted over 50 singers!
Expect teamwork, laughter, and the kind of camaraderie that only comes from doing something new together. Every rehearsal ends with the opportunity for a well-earned pint or similar, and a good chat.
Why It Matters
Heart disease is the biggest killer of men in the UK, claiming around 38,000 lives each year. That’s one every 14 minutes.
Lionheart Chorus is our way of fighting back — raising voices and raising money. Each singer will be asked to set up their own JustGiving page, and together we aim to raise thousands of pounds in just a couple of months to support life-saving research through the British Heart Foundation.
What To Expect
Meet and Greet:
You’ll receive a personal invite to one of our two relaxed Meet and Greet evenings on 21st or 28th September, at the Novotel, Long Eaton, just two minutes from M1, Junction 25.
Meet the team, find out more, sing a few notes to find your voice part. And enjoy a FREE BEER, or similar, to thank you for coming along.
Rehearsals:
Six Monday evenings from 12th October to 16th November, at The Long Eaton School, just five minutes from M1, Junction 25.
Final Performance:
Saturday 21st November at the impressive Nottingham Albert Hall. Lionheart Chorus will be entertaining at the "Hearts and Minds" show along with Grand Central and Lace City, two of the UK's leading choruses. It will be a night to remember, celebrating your achievement and a fund-raiser for the British Heart Foundation.
Who Can Join
No experience of singing in a group is needed. No reading music - although you will use it for the words. If you can sing in tune, just bring enthusiasm, commitment, and a willingness to give it a go. We also have places for men with more singing experience who want to raise the bar and support the cause. If that's you, then we want to meet you.
There is a £25 fee to cover room hire and resources.
